Mark Philippoussis
says he is done with reality TV, and that his first appearance at a senior tour event in October is just a step to making a full-scale comeback in 2008. "I would love to get back and join the boys on the tour," Philippoussis, who turns 31 in November, told AAP from his U.S. training base in Las Vegas. "The biggest thing for me is I love the game and I miss the game. I just miss playing it. I just want to get out there and enjoy it." The Aussie has not played competitively since undergoing knee surgery in January. "I love the sport of tennis. I'm always watching it on TV and taping matches -- I haven't done that before," Philippoussis said. "I've been in Vegas out on the court with Andre [Agassi] now and again and in the gym with Gil [Reyes]. I've been trying to do everything I can to work hard."

WTA Tour CEO Larry Scott says their sponsor, Sony Ericsson, isn't too concerned about the U.S.'s struggles to produce women players: "When I asked them about the U.S. generating business, they reminded me that there are more mobile phone users in China than the total population of the U.S. So we shouldn't be overly concerned.".

Find the error from the Hartford Courant: "Part of what holds back doubles' popularity, said the Bryan brothers' father, Wayne, is that partnerships break up. For instance, [Mahesh] Bhupathi and countryman Rohan Bopanna once teamed to form a popular team referred to as the "Indian Express." But they are no longer." -- Ouch.

Why is CBS' Dick Enberg referring to the US Open as the U.S. National Championship when noting the event is in it's 127th year? The fact there are no Americans in the final should be your first clue it is no longer a U.S. National Championship.

Ana Ivanovic has become a UNICEF National Ambassador for Serbia.

Nice shirt-disrobing by Novak Djokovic after beating David Ferrer, then by Djokovic's dad in the stands.

Svetlana Kuznetsova rises to No. 2? Talk about survival of the un-injured.
