Novak Djokovic keeps winning and showing off his wacky side. Last night after an easy win over Nikolay Dayvdenko, at the urging of the crowd and Tennis Channel’s Justin Gimelstob, Djokovic broke out into a dance imitation of a fan in the crowd.

“No, it’s not like Petko dance,” Novak joked afterward. “Petko has already marked her dance. I have to invent a name for mine.”

“I didn’t know what I was doing really,” he added. “I was just moving all over. But that guy was great. They caught him a couple of times on the TV.”

Tomorrow afternoon, Djokovic will play Alexandr Dolgopolov. Djokovic, the top seed, has yet to drop a set in three matches.

Well, he’s got some good moves. You know what they say about men who are good dancers.

jane Says:

Funny to see again after last night. :)

Michael Says:

Hooray !!! Djokovic is a good dancer too.

Wheeler Says:

Why do I get the feeling success has gone to Novak’s head? It’s good to have fun but have some class please. He makes a fool of himself and his imitations and behavior after a victory is unprofessional sometimes.

jane Says:

Aww, just saw the CBS “Everybody Dance Now” spot; it has shots of players and even people in the crowd dancing. Fun! Love that Nole is so jovial and professional at the same time!

Oui Says:

Wheeler, what on earth is the matter with fun. Petko and Tsonga do the dance whenever they win. If you don’t like Djok, don’t watch.
PS I just saw Donald Young the other day beating his chest, in case that’s next. LOL

David Says:

He’s an attention seeker who does all that clowning with great effort. He’s not a naturally ebullient person, but quite dull and serious. He’s ugly and knows that (he said so many times), so he wants to compensate by being “funny”. That’s why it’s not funny what he does – it’s just awkward.

He reminds very much of Lendl on speed. At least Lendl kept his dignity.

Polo Says:

Players in different sports perform some dance moves in celebration. Funny how that gets some peoples undies get all knotted up when it is Djokovic who does it.

skeezerweezer Says:

Me thinks MJ’s GOAT at dancing is safe, but not bad Nole not bad!
