Kim Clijsters: I Feel Fresh And Ready To Go [Video]
Four-time Grand Slam winner Kim Clijsters returns to WTA tennis action later today in Brisbane where she will meet Simona Halep in the first round.
The Belgian former No. 1 hasn’t played an official tour match since the August when she withdrew from Toronto because of an ab injury.
“In a way I feel like I haven’t played for so long that I feel fresh and like I’m ready to go and I’m exited to play official matches again,” Clijsters said.
“Physically I feel good and I feel like my tennis is where it should be. Now it’s just a matter of trying to play a few matches.”
Clijsters, also known as Aussie Kim from the days when she dated Lleyton Hewitt, has had success in Australia winning Australian Open last year and the Brisbane title in 2010.
The 28-year-old Clijsters is ranked No. 13 and seeded No. 5 this week in Brisbane.
And she has a new hairdo!
