Novak Djokovic Dances Gangnam Style After Beijing Title [Video]
Ever the showman, Novak Djokovic did his own rendition of the ubiquitous South Korean dance hit “Gangnam Style” following his China Open Beijing title today.
Djokovic handled Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 76, 62 to win his third straight Beijing crown and quite a large tournament trophy!
“I think the first set was really even, and maybe a couple points decided the winner there,” Djokovic said who is 14-0 at the event. “We both had our chances aside those breaks that we converted
“I managed to hold my nerves in the end. When you’re getting to the second set with the set advantage, mentally it is much more encouraging for you and then you try to play on that confidence run that you have. I made that early break in the second [and] I felt much more comfortable on the court.”
The win was Novak’s 32nd of his career, fourth of 2012. It also increases his 2012 points race lead over Roger Federer from 990 points to 1490 points.
“That’s the target,” Djokovic said of finishing No. 1. “This will definitely help me in that race, but it’s still quite open. There are still tournaments to come, big ones. Shanghai, obviously the first 1000 event that is next week. I want to try to get as far as I can in the tournament, obviously taking one match at a time as I always do.”
Djokovic will open with either Grigor Dimitrov or Pablo Andujar in his first match in Shanghai.
