Serena Williams is featured in the latest issue of the New York fashion mag, and it’s quite the show.

Inside the cover story are incredible pics of the World No. 1 doing a split.

Of course focus will be on Serena’s attempt to complete the calendar Grand Slam, but the magazine story is more about her fashion interests.

“The Unretiring Serena Williams: She’s eyeing a fashionable post-court life, but first she’s got tennis history to make.”

This week Serena is the top seed at the Canadian Open. In her first match since her sixth Wimbledon title, Serena will meet fellow veteran Flavia Pennetta.

Wowzer!!

jane Says:

the cover photo is lovely.

and yep she’s very flexible. i still think people might be able to exploit her movement though, if they played with a little more guile.

Jack Lewis Says:

I get that feeling too when I watch the way she goes from side to side which looks awkward and not that fast.. but the thing is that she is usually the one dictating the points and usually hits the heavier ball so getting the advantage and making her run for a few shots is easier said than done.

jane Says:

^ that’s true – often she gets the advantage immediately on her own serve, and quite often too when she’s returning – especially second serves on which she feasts – so it’s definitely easier said than done.

Gypsy Gal Says:

She looks beautiful on the bottom picture.and has very strong upper and lower body strength….
