Until Serena Williams gets ramped-up in 2018, the current tight race at No. 1 will see a few more new faces.

This week in Auckland, Caroline Wozniacki can re-take the No. 1 ranking from Simona Halep and hopping over No. 2 Garbine Muguruza. In her way in New Zealand will be the resurgent Julia Goerges, former champ Aggie Radwanska and returning champion Lauren Davis.
