Garbine Muguruza Summer Pull Out Tour Continues, She Withdraws From Montreal
A week after pulling out of San Jose, 2-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza withdrew today from the Canadian Open in Montreal citing continued arm issues.
“Unfortunately I am still recovering from my arm injury from last week,” Muguruza said in a statement. “I did everything I could to try and play here but unfortunately I am not ready and need a little bit more time. I will miss playing here and look forward to coming back to Montreal in the future.”
Muguruza didn’t play in Canada in 2016 or in 2017. And the two times she did play in 2014, 2015, she fell in her first match.
