Due to the pandemic, the Adelaide event has been re-scheduled and re-located to the week of February 1 in Melbourne, to be played on the grounds of the Australian Open alongside another ATP 250 event.

The Great Ocean Road Open is a 56 draw event (Melbourne #1) features six players in the Top 40 including top seed David Goffin, Karen Khachanov, Delray Beach champion Hubert Hurkacz, Jannik Sinner, Nikolaz Basilashvili and Reilly Opelka.

Following a bye, Goffin could open with young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The 19-year-old Sinner, the youngest and lone teen in the Top 100, is on the bottom half and could face either Opelka or Khachanov in the semifinals.

Jordan Thompson, Sam Querrey and Tennys Sandgren are also in the field. And in the best first round match, Kevin Anderson meets Feliciano Lopez.

The tournament begins on Monday and concludes on Sunday with the final. The singles champion will earn $19,500 (USD). No. 201 Sergiy Stakhovsky was the last player to gain entrance.
