Tsitsipas In Stockholm, Auger-Aliassime In Antwerp, Berrettini In Naples
The men’s tour continues it’s road to Turin this week in three different European cities with two top 10 players in action.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is the highest ranked playing and he’ll head the Stockholm tournament. The Greek who has already qualified for Turin is joined by Cameron Norrie, Denis Shapovalov, Frances Tiafoe and Holger Rune.
Swedish great Bjorn Borg’s son Leo also received a wildcard. The 19-year-old will face American No. 8 seed Tommy Paul.
In Antwerp, Florence champion Felix Auger-Aliassime is the second seed behind Hubert Hurkacz.
Dominic Thiem, Stan Wawrinka, Diego Schwartzman and Karen Khachanov are also in the draw. Wawrinka opens against Richard Gasquet.
Court problems have already hit the first-year Naples event, but the tournament will go on. And Matteo Berrettini will be there along with Lorenzo Musetti and Fabio Fognini. The top seed is Pablo Carreno Busta.
All three events will factor in the year-end ATP race for Turin. Five spots are already booked with three still to be determined.
Medvedev and Rublev are in good shape right now and are not playing this week. Auger-Aliassime can pick up some points but Hurkacz, Norrie, Carreno Busta and Berrettini will have to make a move this week to have a chance. Next week is Vienna and Basel and then the 1000 in Paris.
