Eastbourne is a popular final stop for the men from North and South American this week.
The grass tune-up for Wimbledon features Americans Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul as it’s top two seeds followed by Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo, Chilean Nicolas Jarry and Cerundolo’s countryman Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
Former champion Alex De Minaur was the third seed but he withdrew after reaching the Queen’s final.
A total of five Top 30 players are in the field.
Top seeds are 1 Taylor Fritz, 2 Tommy Paul, 4 Francisco Cerundolo, 5 Nicolas Jarry, 6 Tomas Martin Etcheverry, 7 Lorenzo Sonego, 8 Miomir Kecmanovic, 9 Botic Van De Zandschulp.
No. 1 Fritz is projected to meet 9 Van De Zandschulp in the quarters, No. 4 Cerundolo – 7 Sonego, No. 8 Kecmanovic – 5 Jarry, and 6 seed Etcheverry – 2 Paul in the bottom quarter.
The semifinals could see Taylor Fritz-Francisco Cerundolo and Tommy Paul-Nicolas Jarry.
The top 4 seeds all received byes.
Fritz gets the winner of Marco Cecchinato-Mackenzie McDonald while Paul opens will see either Nuno Borges or Sebastian Baez.
