Novak Djokovic: “I Cannot Be More Delighted Than This” [Video]
Novak Djokovic is a very, very happy man today. In his tenth try the Serb finally broke through beating Rafael Nadal 75, 64 for the first time ever on the clay.
“Under the circumstances, I’ve played probably the best match of my life on clay against the World No. 1 and the player to beat on this surface,” Djokovic said. “The way I played was just fantastic. I’m definitely satisfied with the performance and the overall tournament.”
Djokovic and his 34 match win streak now head to Rome for another big week of tennis. Djokovic will play the winner of the Kubot/Cuevas match in his opener Wednesday.
Nadal is also scheduled to play. He could meet Madrid semifinalist Thomaz Bellucci in his first match.
