Former No. 1s Moya, Kuerten Feature at ATP Brasil Open

Posted on February 9, 2008

Carlos Moya heads the claycourt field this week at the Brasil Open in Costa do Sauipe, joined by fellow seeds Nicolas Almagro, Igor Andreev, Potito Starace, Filippo Volandri, Agustin Calleri, Jose Acasuso and Al Montanes.

Wildcards went for former French Open champion Gustavo Kuerten, who says he will likely retire this year after the French Open, and Brazilians Marcos Daniel and Thomaz Bellucci.

Also in the draw, opening against a qualifier is Argentine Guillermo Coria who is attempting a return from injury.

Absent is the injured Guillermo Canas, who last year beat the top-seeded Ferrero for the title.
