Rafael Nadal began his off season a little earlier than expected due to his wrist, but the extra time has allowed him to get a new haircut and maybe look at a new racquet.
A few weeks ago this video was shot of a new-look Nadal practicing with what was allegedly a HEAD racquet, fueling speculation of a switch from Babolat.
However, just recently another video surfaced with Nadal back to his trusty Babolat frame.

Nadal still has another 3-4 weeks before we see him back on court for the Abu Dhabi exo, so who knows what he will be playing with then. And could there be a coaching announcement to come? For now, Uncle Toni is confident Rafa can win more Grand Slams.
“Even my young children will ask me if Rafael will win a Grand Slam and I would say yes, because I am convinced and I think we will do,” Toni Nadal told Efe via translation. “We are ready to do everything necessary even knowing it will not be easy.
“The coming season is open, but there are two that start as clear favorites, which are Murray and Djokovic because the results of recent years, and this year in particular, as witnessed, and then there are a number of candidates will be up quite well,” Toni said via translation.
“I also included Rafael because I know how we train, I know the motivation we have and the enthusiasm with which we work every day. I also think that this year just if we had not had the injury, were playing at a very good level and there were clear to win Roland Garros, with Djokovic applicants. in the end people prepare thoroughly and will be a difficult year.”
In between practice, Nadal took time off to play in the Jose Maria Olazabal Charity event in Mallorca last week.
