Tennis starlet Ana Ivanovic is opening her 2012 season in Brisbane where she talked yesterday about her relationship with Australian boyfriend Adam Scott.

“He’s actually a really good tennis player. He can hit winners, he aced me a few times, so he was happy about that,” Ivanovic said this weekend of her golfing beau.

Earlier in December, Ivanovic had some choice words comparing the Australian lifestyle and the men to Serbia.

“I like the relaxed, laid-back Australian mentality,” Ivanovic said. “And I also feel like he’s very helpful around the house.

“When we’re together he offers to do things and help – much more than Serbian men would.

“He hasn’t cooked yet … but he has promised to make me a dish.”

Ivanovic and Scott broke up in 2010 but rekindled their romance last fall.

The former No. 1 Ivanovic will plays Tamira Paszek in her first round match at Brisbane.

The idea that Australian men are helpful in the house would, I think, come as a surprise to many Australian women!
