2012 US Open Tennis Schedule: CBS, Tennis Channel, ESPN2

The 2012 US Open will be televised by three networks in the U.S.: Tennis Channel, ESPN and CBS. Tennis Channel will broadcast from 11am until 7pm on weekdays, and from 7pm on the middle weekend.

ESPN will have the bulk of the coverage from 1pm until the end of play on the weekdays except for the weekend and Labor Day afternoon.

CBS will again air coverage on the weekend afternoons plus Labor Day and the Super Saturday semifinals, women’s night final and the day men’s Sunday final.


During its 70 plus hours, Tennis Channel’s talent roster includes Jim Courier, Martina Navratilova, Tracy Austin, Justin Gimelstob, Ian Eagle, Lindsay Davenport, Rennae Stubbs and Bill Macatee.

With nearly 100 hours of live coverage, ESPN2 will again have the usual cast of Chris Fowler, Darren Cahill, Chrissie Evert, Mike Tirico, Hannah Storm, Chris McKendry, Cliff Drysdale, Patrick McEnroe, John McEnroe, Mary Jo Fernandez, Pam Shriver and Brad Gilbert plus Tom Rinaldi.

Live streaming will be available on ESPN3.com for select subscribers for the first five days from six courts.

Evie, just at the moment it’s the courts that need some coverage!

Since I am looking forward to Murray doing well – I hope! – I don’t like to say this, but…

I’d like to see this entire tournament wiped out by the weather. Perhaps if that happened, the powers that be would at last be forced to take some real solid decisions.

I would much rather watch an American play than Maria S. The Russian, at nite when I am able to sit down and enjoy it when I am paying for it.
