No. 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska became the latest top player to fall at the French Open losing today in the third round to Croatian 21-year-old Ajla Tomljanovic 64, 64.

The loss is significant because following the upsets of Serena Williams and Li Na, it means no Top 3 seeds will have advanced to the fourth round at a Grand Slam women’s event for the first time in the Open Era.

“After seeing, you know, the two first seeds go out, you kind of feel like I can do this, too,” said Tomljanovic who is playing in her first French Open. “I grew up with these girls that are beating them. I went out there and I really thought I could win. I think that showed and it is why I got over the line.”

contador Says:

She did have a thick wrapping on one of her legs. Better to go rest and be ready for Wimbledon.

REMCOM Says:

Radwanska looked like she wanted to be anywhere else on earth, just not on the tennis court – totally apathetic and desultory. It was weird watching her, like some doppelgaenger had taken her place.
