Nike Unveils A Rafael Nadal Statue Made Of Roland Garros Red Clay

Rafael Nadal’s ninth French Open title was commemorated by Nike in the coolest of ways, with a life sized sculpture of Nadal made purely out of red clay!

The Nadal sculpture will appear in the window of the Cinquième Set store in Paris, accompanied by a plaque that reads: “Legends are made from different stuff”.

Nadal may be the King of Clay but he certainly does not have feet of clay. I have no doubt that someday, a more befitting statue will grace the grounds of Roland Garros.

For all his achievements, Nadal deserves this and much more. I think Roland Garros should be rechristened as Rafael Garros to honour this Champion.

They have made a statue of sampras or Federer because they haven’t done anything that hadn’t already been done before. William Renshaw won 7 Wimbledon titles. No one had ever won 8 or 9 till rafa came along. Thats making history
