The US Open’s ambitious multi-year renovation to it’s 20-year-old Billie Jean King National Tennis Center facility is underway.

The $550 million dollar projected includes a retractable roof over the cavernous Arthur Ashe Stadium in place by August of 2017 and a new Louis Armstrong court with its own roof for the 2018 tournament.

Already a new set of practice courts accompanied by sides of bleachers have been installed.

Yesterday the US Open release more visuals of what the completed site renovation will look like.
