A very happy Novak Djokovic took to twitter to officially confirm the birth of he and wife Jelena Ristic’s first child. The new baby boy, named Stefan, was born yesterday in Nice, France, which is near their home in Monte Carlo.

The timing of the baby’s arrival also allows Djokovic to play both Paris and London.

Congrats to the couple!

Congratulations from the Becker family for your first born son Stefan ! #TeamDjokovic

Polo Says:

Hahaha, Novak named his son after Federer’s coach, not his! Congratulations to the new parents.

Hippy Chick Says:

Again best of luck to Nole,Jelena and Baby Stefan:D….

RZ Says:

What does Boris think of that? LOL

jane Says:

nice name. i wonder what the inspiration for it was? in any case, nole’s website confirms he’ll play both paris and wtfs.

Humble Rafa Says:

“The Boris” was giving Jelena the “looks”. Hence the name.

Giles Says:

Maybe joker will finally win the Stefan Edberg Award after this nice gesture. Lol

rogerafa Says:

Nice name and congrats to the parents! Perfect timing too as Roger had a remote shot at YE no. 1 in case of Novak’s absence from the Paris masters.

Humble Rafa Says:

From one, no one person on the singles tour has a monopoly on babies. That will disappoint some people but the world is better off with more babies.

queen Says:

Blah blah blah who gives a f@k

Polo Says:

Many, Queen, including you. Those who truly don’t care won’t read, much less comment.

jane Says:

apparently nole and jelena were married at st. stefan, as wog boy noted on the other thread, so that’s the inspiration for the name in case anyone was wondering – obviously not “the queen.” lol

skeezer Says:

Polo,
I was assuming queens post was directed at HR.

Okiegal Says:

I took it that Queen didn’t give a big hoot what they named the baby……

@Queen……explain yourself!! Lol

Humble Rafa Says:

The last person I want to negotiate is with the queen. I deal with humble people, not the Queen type.

Patson Says:

Congrats to Jelena and Nole !

@Queen: There is no need to be so bitter.

Hippy Chick Says:

Patson true, and if you dont care, why even comment?….
