Juan Martin Del Potro Had Another Surgery On His Left Wrist
Unfortunate news for Juan Martin del Potro and his fans. The Argentine announced that he underwent a second surgery on his left wrist earlier today.
Del Potro withdrew from the Australian Open because of continued pain in that left wrist. After seeing the doctor, a second, minor surgery was performed.
“A few hours ago I was in Australia, today at the Mayo Clinic,” del Potro wrote on Facebook. “As recommended by my doctor, I underwent a minor surgery to fix the problem that caused me pain in the wrist. I feel more determined than ever to return to the courts sooner than later, to play tennis without feeling pain and to enjoy the love that you give me. I will begin rehabilitation in two weeks. Thanks!!”
There is no timetable for return.
