If the rain and cold in Mallorca continues, Rafael Nadal may opt to leave his home and head to South America early to better prepare for his upcoming clay swing.

Nadal is expected to play in the Rio event on February 16 and then Buenos Aires on February 23.

Nadal lost in the quarterfinals to Tomas Berdych last week at the Australian Open. The Spaniard is ranked No. 3 this week on the ATP Rankings.

brando Says:

@Giles: definitely is. Here in the UK it hardy was cold, did not snow at all was not anything traditional in terms of the weather during Christmas time. But recently in late January it snowed heavily, is very chilly at the moment also. The weather has changed for sure. Seeing reports of strong snow in New York recently was eyebrow raise worthy stuff. Somethings up for sure and the climate ain’t the same no more me thinks.
