Roger Federer Isn’t The Highest Ranked Player In Dubai, It’s Lucas Pouille!
by Tom Gainey | December 12th, 2016, 8:50 pm

Withdrawing from the IPTL allowed Roger Federer some extra training sessions in Dubai this week, so the Swiss tapped another local resident, Lucas Pouille, for a workout.

Federer hasn’t played since losing the Wimbledon semifinals to Milos Raonic. But after taking extra time off to mend his left knee, all signs point to Federer returning 100% healthy in Brisbane in just three weeks.

Pouille is actually ranked one spot higher than Federer at No. 15.

Woke up too late – (not a good time in my time zone) but I wanted to see Lucas Pouille and Roger practice in Dubai.

Impressed with Pouille. Federer appears to need more Oxygen and he’s pretty paunchy and thick in the hips, imo. And OH NO…he only has two weeks before playing Hopman Cup with Belinda Bencic!

See what you think about Roger Federer’s readiness for 2017…
