Goffin, Carreno Busta, Querrey, Anderson Bidding For Two ATP Finals Spots

Three players are already in the ATP Finals in London – Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev – and more than likely Dominic Thiem, Grigor Dimitrov and Marin Cilic will get in.

So that leaves just two spots up for grabs and in the hunt are David Goffin, Pablo Carreno Busta, Sam Querrey and Kevin Anderson.

With 1000 points available in Shanghai, players like Nick Kyrgios can make huge moves into contention. And since the tour will be moving indoors, the big servers like Querrey, Anderson and Berdych should benefit.

Regardless, we’ll see several first time players this year in London.

ATP RACE TO LONDON
1 Rafael Nadal 9,865 **
2 Roger Federer 7,505 **
3 Alexander Zverev 4,310 **
4 Dominic Thiem 3,715
5 Grigor Dimitrov 3,275
6 Marin Cilic 3,175
7 David Goffin 2,740
8 Pablo Carreno Busta 2,595

9 Sam Querrey 2,435
10 Kevin Anderson 2,380
11 Tomas Berdych 2,005

2 Comments for Goffin, Carreno Busta, Querrey, Anderson Bidding For Two ATP Finals Spots

Daniel Says:

Posted this on another thread but this one is more appropriate.

With this Agut loss think the race for the last 2 spots (Thiem, Cilic and dimi are 95% in) will be between:

– Goffin 2740
– PCB 2595
– Querrey 2435
– Andreson 2380
– Berdych 2005
– Kyrgios 2000

This week can give us a better indication depending on how these 6 perfomr.

The 2 least I want to qualify are PCB and Berdych. Berdy is already ladder donw and PCB on fast HC can do anyhting. The others in best of three at least are more dangeorus and can pose an upset.

Daniel Says:

Goffin, PCB, Anderson, Kyrgios all out and Berdych did not play. Only Querrey can make a move.
