With Stockholm finalist Grigor Dimitrov and Marin Cilic all but in the ATP Finals, just two spots realistically remain in the ATP Finals field next month in London.

David Goffin, Pablo Carreno Busta, Sam Querrey and Kevin Anderson have all never made the year-end event, but odds are two will. And all four are playing this week.

Goffin is in Basel while the other three are in Vienna.

Sunday champions Juan Martin del Potro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga also put themselves in the hunt that to their titles. Del Potro is in Basel, Tsonga in Vienna.

4 Comments for Goffin, PCB, Querrey, Anderson Continue Bid For ATP Finals Spots

RZ Says:

I think Goffin has been an alternate in the past. I hope he makes it this year.

j-kath Says:

RZ: Grigor was also a reserve in the past….but didn’t bother going to London….strange.

wilfried Says:

I think Goffin was only second alternate, behind Tomas Berdych who was first, but didn’t want to go to London for some reason.

Daniel Says:

Querrey and Anderson lost R32 in Viena. Guess they will have to wait for Paris to have a chance of qualifying.

Goffin won so I think he gets through.

This will mean 1 spot left for PCB, Query, Anderson, DelPo and Tsonga.

DelPo can gain ground in Basel if he goes deep. He has 2 winnable match before a QF with Agut.
