The field of 8 at the ATP Finals was completed on Friday in Paris. With Roger Federer beating Kei Nishikori, Marin Cilic and Dominic Thiem took the last two spots in the year-end event.
As of Friday evening, the 8 are as follow:
1 Novak Djokovic
2 Rafael Nadal
3 Roger Federer
4 Juan Martin del Potro
5 Alexander Zverev
6 Kevin Anderson
7 Marin Cilic
8 Dominic Thiem
9 Kei Nishikori
10 John Isner
With Rafael Nadal battling an ab injury and a coming off a knee, and having not played since the US Open, the Spaniard remains in doubt for the event. Especially if Djokovic takes Paris which would make a return to No. 1 in London a longshot.
And Del Potro is also questionable with his own knee injury. So odds look good for at least Nishikori to make an appearance and possibly John Isner.
