Finally! A Tennis Video Game For The PS4! “Tennis World Tour” Is Coming In The Spring
The trailer for “Tennis World Tour” was released at the Sony’s Paris Games Week a few days ago. The trailer appears to show a match between Roger Federer and Gael Monfils, but there are no faces, no names, just some rather unimpressive gameplay and graphics.
Published by BigBen and created by Breakpoint the game should fill the void of tennis titles for gamers last occupied by the popular Top Spin series which was cancelled way back in 2011. Worth noting, some of the developers of Top Spin are also involved in this game so it is effectively “Top Spin 5”.
“Tennis World Tour” is slated for a Spring 2018 release on the PS4 with availability on the PC and XBox platforms at later dates.
While it is not endorsed by the ATP, WTA or the major tournaments, several players like Federer have given their likeness to the title.
According to a previous statement from BigBen, “Tennis World Tour will let players experience the career of a professional with more than 30 playable tennis stars including Roger Federer, Gaël Monfils, Angelique Kerber and Garbine Muguruza. The game will provide a faithful tennis simulation with demanding gameplay during rallies, a wide range of playing styles and a preparation stage where strategic decisions will influence the course of each match.”
