Ooh Daniel, hope you’re building a canoe!
And, back here in blighty, hope Willow is thinking of moving.
Damm! And the worst is we don’t even prepare.
When the last ice age ended, sea levels rose ~275 feet between 15,000 and 5,000 BC. I believe it is a huge mistake to tell people that the Earth naturally has a steady-state climate and any change from the natural steady state climate MUST be mans fault.
From 15,000 BC to 6,000 BC, sea level rose 100 meters. The last 200 years? 1/5th of a meter since industrialization and evil CO2 belching things like trains and autos came along. Level has actually decreased 2 cm in the last 10 years.
And hurricane frequencies decreased and as glaciers are shrinking in Europe, Antarctica’s ice sheet grows to compensate. All told, a precisely measured rise so modest that Al Gore and a number of ‘leading climatologists’ enriched by grants have bought waterfront property. And it seems Global Elites feel no pressure to demand nuke plant replace coal, demand China and India abate their coal plant construction, or any focus on addressing 3rd World overpopulation .
I think CO2 will cause more warming if we do not get to an equilibrium between production and removal, but so far the oceans rise has been negligible and Elites attempts to link each and every natural disaster to Global Warming and all their control schemes have been hilarious. Another 100 years of technology advances and measurement data and better computer models should give us an idea where we stand.
chrisford1 is a classic example of a poster who misleads while pretending to be objective. Ha ha ha!
