Novak Djokovic Met With Stephen Curry Monday Night In Los Angeles
by Tom Gainey | November 2nd, 2017, 11:28 am

Novak Djokovic was in Los Angeles Monday in attendance for a Golden State Warriors-LA Clippers NBA game at the Staples Center.

The former No. 1 who’s been off the tour with an elbow injury met with several players including Warrior star Stephen Curry.

He also met countryman and Clipper Milos Teodosic who is also injured with a foot issue.

“So much fun last night at the L.A. Clippers 🏀 game against the Golden State Warriors! Stephen Curry makes this game look easy despite sometimes having the odds stacked against him – I have so much respect for him,” Djokovic posted on Facebook.

The Warriors are a hot target for the best in tennis of late. Just a month ago it was Roger Federer visiting the reigning NBA champions.

Django Says:

Why is he in California?

Van Persie Says:

^^ Better in California, than in Spain

gonzalowski Says:

hehe VP you talking about Pepe?
here an interview a month ago with him:

“He is not working with a racket yet, she is doing a rest therapy that helps and refreshes her with a remarkable physical work, her goal is to return in January in Australia”

Wog Boy Says:

My guess is that he was in America to be with Agasi and used the chance to go and watch Milos Teodosic playing for Clippers but unfortunately Teo was injured, nevertheless they’ve seen each other and Teo gave him signed Clippers jersey.
He is no longer in America, last I know he was in Paris for masters and could be still there watching it.

Wog Boy Says:

Is that google translate? She is he;)

Van Persie Says:

Yes, I meant Pepe, as I have nothing against Spain…in fact, I love Spain, with Granada being one of my fave areas in Europe ;)

Van Persie Says:

Hi WB,

A lovely song for Djoko and his fans, hope the link works:

Wog Boy Says:

If we are still on talking terms, you will be glad to know that I am going tomorrow night to watch “Bijelo Dugme” with Goran, Alen and Tifa, plus “Goran Bregovic orchestra for weddings and funerals”, they are performing in recently open Sydney ICC, I was tempted to buy the tickets for the mosh pit, but my kids talked me out of it, they blatantly told me that I am too old for the mosh pit, it’s not fair:(

This just a sneak peak of atmosphere at their concerts, this one was in Paris:

Wog Boy Says:

Hi VP,

Just saw your post, great song, thanks.

Van Persie Says:

Of course, we are still on talking terms, I was just bot very active here lately, looking forward for “our guy” to be back.

Enjoy your night tomorrow. I like Bijelo Dugme a lot. I travelled or I think I travelled with Vlado Pravdic in the same train, was to shy to ask him, if he was really him…lol. A beautiful man.

Van Persie Says:

Correction: was just not very active here lately

Wog Boy Says:

If Nole comes back with same mindset he left there is no chance he’ll do any good, let’s hope he’ll not do that.

Wog Boy Says:

Enjoy this one with Alen as lead singer, I have to go:

Van Persie Says:

Thank you for the songs WB :)

About Nole, honestly, I do not have the greatest expectations but really miss him from the tour, we’ll see.

j-kath Says:

VP & WB:

Nole’s return will certainly bring a new dimension – I think all fans, including Rafa’s and Roger’s, will welcome him back – after all the bizarre streak in all of us love tennis to be as competitive as possible – raises the heart-beat.

gonzalowski Says:

Van Persie, yes, Granada is very beautiful.
I already posted here, curious that this Pepe, define him as “millenial guru”, comes from La Rioja, land famous for wine, agriculture, nothing sophisticated (this is a generalization, of course)

Wog Boy Says:

I like your optimism.

Tom, just read it again and realized that your news is inaccurate. Nole wasn’t there because of The Warriors, but because of his friend Teo who plays for LA Clippers and it happened that LA Clippers played The Warriors, Nole would there regardless of who LA Clippers played against, so it was win win situation for Nole.

skeezer Says:

Nice pics. LA Clippers got a beatdown by the Champs that night, so Nole chose right in getting a picture with the GOAT of 3 pointers.

chrisford1 Says:

Van Persie – Great song, but I think that ‘rapper artist’ Ya Boy yapping away through the whole song strongly distracted from Marlena Shaws fine singing and the improved on the original backing music.
A better version, IMO, is this Spanish group covering the song at a jazz club. Don’t know the singers name but she was feling it big time that night and owned the song.

Nole was walking around with Andre yesterday in LA, and bumped into Scotty Pippen – the guy that more than any other player, helped make Michael Jordan great. Turns out Pippen is a total fanboy of Djokovic, wanted selfies, called him the real GOAT.

Wog Boy Says:

Scottie Pippen, what have you done, how dare you, don’t you read TX?!
