Andy Murray Sliding Into The New Year
Andy Murray missed a two-week training block in Miami this month due to a groin injury, but is back getting ready for 2020.
Today, the Scot posted a video of his work out on the slide board, doing exercises common to speed skaters. Of course they apply to Murray who is returning from hip surgery 11 months ago and a recent going issue.
Murray was not ranked high enough (around No. 125) for direct entry into the Australian Open, but the Comeback Player of 2019 hopes to earn a main draw wildcard into the event to avoid having to play qualies — he’s out of protected ranking entries.
One would think the 5-time Australian Open finalist would be given a spot in the field.
