Novak Djokovic On Australian Open Entry List, So He’s Vaccinated?

The Australian Open released its 20222 player entry list and Novak Djokovic heads the men’s field.

The 9-time champion Djokovic hasn’t releveled his vaccination status, but his entry indicates he did get vaccinated or received a medical exemption. The tournament nor Djokovic have confirmed either.

The Australian government mandates all entrants to the Australian Open must be either vaccinated or have an exemption. It’s also unclear if players can be on the list and not vaccinated, but get the shot before they leave.

The Serb will try to break the 20-20-20 tie atop the Grand Slam leaderboard he currently shares with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

Nadal is playing while Federer joins Stan Wawrinka and Guido Pella among the Top 100 men not playing.

Djokovic is also entered into the ATP Cup where he will start his 2022 season. Nadal, who is not playing the ATP Cup, will be in Abu Dhabi next week for an exo.

Wog Boy Says:

I love this guessing game, I really love it. I bet Nole is sitting at home and enjoying it too and laughing.

Django Says:

He’s trolling everyone

Giles Says:

^^^ Yes, because he’s an asshole!

Tennispompom Says:

Is Federer vaccinated with boosters?

Wog Boy Says:

“ Victoria’s deputy premier has shot down talk of Novak Djokovic being granted a medical exemption in order to play the Australian Open in January.”

Nobody is going to ask Victoria’s deputy premier nor Victoria’s premier if it comes to medical exemptions, they are irrelevant since Nole is entering Australia (if he decides to come) through Sydney which is different state, state of NSW. Only the state of entry can ask for medical exemption that is granted by federal government panel of independent medical experts. That applies for anyone entering Australia who seeks medical exemption, not just AO entrees, if they are granted one they are free to travel where ever they want, and do what if the reason for coming to Australia, like skilled migrant workers who are coming atm, vaccinated and not vaccinated, but Australia needs them.
Chairman Dan said while back that he is not going to apply for exemptions, nobody is going to ask him anyway, he is not in charge of NSW, he is in charge of Victoria, God help Victoria, the state with longest and harshest lockdown in the World and yet with , by far, the worst results (number of deaths and infected) of all Australian states and territories.
I am yet to hear any official from NSW talking about it, but knowingly they are conservatives and keep the same line as Prime Minister Scott Morrison (completely opposite of Chairman Dan line) I doubt they would object if it comes to that.

By saying it, I don’t believe it’s going to come to that, the reason why, is that six weeks ago around 50% of tennis players were vaccinated, latest statement by Craig Tiley says the number is now 95%?!
Do you really believe they all got vaccinated in these six weeks or maybe, just maybe, they found a “sink” doctors who administered “the vaccine”.
Nole already has antibodies so even if tested they’ll show up like he was vaccinated…with proper one😉

Wog Boy Says:

Just for the people with common sense, doesn’t apply to the dude above my post, have a look at this clip and tell me who is more right, Prime Minister of Australia or Victorian premier, Chairman Dan who is real dictator, he is even treating Victorians with lockdown if they don’t get booster shots and he is pushing through the parliament of Victoria to be granted more power, just look at him and listen to him:

Wog Boy Says:

Since our “friend” loves “yahoo.sport…”, here is the latest news, it appears that sleazebag is backflipping, it’s becoming very messy:

“ Victorian premier Daniel Andrews has revealed Tennis Australia could have a final say in whether or not tennis players get medical exemptions to avoid the Australian Open’s vaccination mandate.”

Just google:
“Daniel Andrews’ major admission in Australian Open vaccination saga“

Czarlazar Says:

Craig Tiley is an adept politician and saying all the right words to keep politicians at bay — especially the lunatic cocaine addict Andrews — but it’d be highly unusual to allow dozens of unvaxxed players (don’t believe the 95% vaxxed B.S.) into the country at Sydney and then bar entry to Melbourne. No top pro will waste time on a long plane ride to Oz on a hope and prayer of being granted an exemption, that’s beyond obvious. Unless something very unforeseen happens, the tournament will be played and all the fit players will be there, vaccinated or not, as it should be.

Wog Boy Says:

Czarlazar,
Exemption should apply for entire country, though the id.ot can still ban them just to prove the point that he can do it, even against federal government.
It does appear that he is trying now to offload problem to TA and Craig Tiley after created the problem and the mess at the first place, completely unnecessary.
No single GS nor any other tournament mandated vaccination as conditions of entry this year and that during the pick of pandemia, not even Japs for Olympics, much bigger event, yet the smartass wanted to show the world that he can do it, even virus is on decline.

Czarlazar Says:

WB,
It does appear the demonic Andrews is backing off a bit, or maybe he was shown an item in his blackmail file? In the end, I believe normalcy will prevail and the tournament will go ahead with a full complement of players. Looking at Andrews from a distance, I’m amazed at the amount of support he still has, after locking down playgrounds while keeping heroin injection sites open, and generally acting like a mentally unstable, dictatorial jackass. In retrospect, I’m sorry he came back to politics after the March injuries, ‘falling down stairs’ at his vacation home. Which begs the question: how often does a sober, able-bodied, middle-aged person fall down a flight of stairs and suffer serious injuries? Your country will be a much better place when Andrews leaves public life for good.

Steve Tignor has been running down the best matches of the year and to hardly anyone’s surprise, the Novak-Rafa epic at Roland Garros was the #1 choice.

As Tignor said:

“the fact that Djokovic has now won 81 matches at Roland Garros, and until this year he had just one title to show for it—mostly because of Rafa. Djokovic earned his shot at a second title the hard way, and the right way, with this victory. It may not be the greatest match of all time, or even the greatest among the Big 3’s many epics. But for two and a half hours, tennis has never been better.”

Highlight of the year for Djokovic fans. And for many fans of Nadal, their yearly highlight as well because Rafa was still magnificent and lost to the only guy who truly challenged him on clay after 2007.

Giles Says:

In reply to the question at the top of the page. Who knows? He’s a faker thru and thru.

Justice delivered Says:

@Giles in pursuit of retribution – so called poetic justice..All dressed up but nowhere to go! Your bittersweet fantasy has consumed you rotten, but hey, at least, someone gets to throw you a bone once in while ;))
How’s life in the squalor?

Madmax Says:

Just get vaccinated, and then we can get back to reading tennis and enjoying the ride, instead of this drivel.

Wog Boy Says:

Nole started preparations for the next season, would you do that if you are not coming to Australia, I doubt it.

Just few hours ago at the basketball game in Belgrade, Red Star vs Barcelona, with Pospisil a some other foreigners who are in Belgrade visiting Nole for whatever reason.

You can see Nole in dark top with Pospisil behind in the greay top and fans going wild as he enters Arena chanting “DJOKOVIC NOVAK”…and agai…and again, have a look:

Wog Boy Says:

…and here is his midmatch interview where he says he started preparing and is going well, also saying that Vasek has never experienced atmosphere like that during basketball game:

Giles Says:

JD. In reply to your question, you tell me . You’ve obviously been there. 😊

lylenubbins Says:

If Nole were vaccinated he would say so and avoid the controversy.

I agree with the person who said there must be a doctor who is giving phony vaccine paperwork. No way 95% of the players would get it after seeing what has been happening to the soccer players.

Wog Boy Says:

“ Tennis fans and fellow players will never know if Novak Djokovic required a medical exemption to defend his Australian Open crown at Melbourne Park next month.”

Well, looks like Chairman Dan lost this battle, like many more, despite tough talking, it was obvious that someone tapped him on shoulder and told him to back off when he announced that he is happy to let TA and Craig Tiley decide about protocol for medical exemption, particularly since few players pulled out of AO, some because they don’t want to be vaccinated, some do to “injury “.
Nole is yet to turn up in Australia and ATP Cup strats in 10 days time?!

Her is the link:

Wog Boy Says:

By saying all off this, I still think that Nole won’t apply, but we will never know whether he did apply or no, since information will never be disclosed, medical panel will have applications without ID on them.
I would agree with former AO director, one that apologised to Nole on behalf of all Australians:

Former Open director Paul McNamee this week claimed reports of Djokovic wanting a medical exemption were “concocted” and “fantasy”.

“Why would he apply for one? He is the healthiest guy in the world,” McNamee told Sportsday Radio in Melbourne.

Wog Boy Says:

lylenubbins,

That’s about right.
