Naomi Osaka Withdraws From Wimbledon
Still fighting an achilles issue, 4-time Slam champion Naomi Osaka has withdrawn from Wimbledon.
“my Achilles still isn’t right so I’ll see you next time”, she wrote on twitter.
Then added on Instagram, “Trying to find the positives in a negative situation so all love. But there goes my grass dreams”.
Osaka has never been past the third round in three Wimbledons, and since her Miami final loss to Iga Swiatek, she’s played just three matches due to her achilles injury.
She is ranked No. 43 and may not have been seeded at Wimbledon. And she didn’t play last year during her mental health break.
