2025 Australian Open Odds – Men, Women
The 2025 tennis season will be here sooner than you know it, and with the the first Grand Slam tennis event of the new season: The Australian Open.
The first big hard court event of the season always tests the players in the late summer heat of Melbourne in South Australia.
Who Are The Men’s Betting Favorites?
Ten-time champion Novak Djokovic has owned the event and in 2025 he’ll be trying once again to break Australian Margaret Court’s all-time singles Grand Slam titles record of 24.
But the favorite will be the defending champion Jannik Sinner who swept both hard court Slams in 2024, including an 0-2 comeback in the Melbourne final last year.
Carlos Alcaraz also hopes to complete the Career Slam at just 21.
Former finalists Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas along with Alexander Zverev are among the other top men’s contenders.
Who Are The Women’s Betting Favorites?
Aryna Sabalenka has proven herself to be the best female on the planet on hard courts. The Belarussian, as Sinner has done, won both hard court Slams last year and has won her last 14 matches in Melbourne.
Coco Gauff is the next favorite after her torrid run to end 2025, culminating with the WTA Finals trophy. Iga Swiatek slumped at the end of the year after her French Open title, but will look to reach her first Melbourne final weekend.
Former finalist Elena Rybakina, Karolina Muchova, and surprise 2024 finalist Qinwen Zheng figure to be in the hunt
The tournament begins on Sunday, January 12.

How Do You Read Australian Open Odds?
Understanding sports odds in general can be a dauting challenge for many fans. For tennis odds, when there is a plus sign (+), that indicates how much money you would win putting $100 down. When there is a minus sign (-), that means you have to put that much down to win $100.
So at the Australian Open, if Carlos Alcaraz is +150, that means if you bet $100, if he won again you would get back $250 ($100 for your bet plus the $150 in winnings). If Iga Swiatek was -250 to win the Australian Open, and you put $250 down, if Swiatek won the title you would get back $350 ($250 in your initial bet plus $100 for the win).
When reading fractional odds -- let's say Novak Djokovic is 5/2 -- the first number (in this case 5) is the profit and the second number (in this case 2) is what you need to put down to get that. So if you put $2 down on Djokovic, you would get back $7 in total if he won ($2 is your bet plus the $5 for winning).
Now if Aryna Sabalenka was 2/7, if you put $7 down and she won you would get back $9 ($7 your initial bet plus $2 for the win).
