“I did not have much time to adjust after the Australian Open; it was not easy to meet people’s expectations. I am proud about what I’ve done,” Cilic said. “I have played lot of matches this year, but it was also mentally tough. Now I can relax.”

Australian Open: Post-Tournament Assessment

Before I move on from the world number 1, I’d like to say that I wasn’t overly impressed with Federer’s speech during the ceremony. “I can cry like Roger,” Murray said. “It’s just a shame I can’t play like him.” How many players do you think nodded their heads when they heard this?

Andy Murray in Oz — Too Much Pressure

I want to comment on Murray’s approach to attempting to win, let’s say, the last two Australian Opens. Last year he played an exhibition in Abu Dhabi and a warm up event in Doha. He won both, beating Nadal once and Federer twice. He was coming off a great 2008 where he won two Masters and reached the US Open final. In Oz, he lost to Fernando Verdasco in the 4th round.
