Three top players have already withdrawn from the upcoming Miami Open. Roger Federer is already not playing and today another multiple Wimbledon winner said she will not be there either, Petra Kvitova.
The Czech, who withdrew from Indian Wells, will also miss Miami as she continues to fight exhaustion.
“Unfortunately I am still not feeling 100 per cent and am therefore disappointed to announce my withdrawal from the Miami Open,” she said. “I have always enjoyed playing in Miami so I will be sad not to be there this year. I am doing everything I can to restore my energy levels for a return to action and plan to be back in time for the Fed Cup semi-final against France on April 18/19.”
Nick Kyrgios, who sprained his right ankle two days ago in a tough loss to Grigor Dimitrov, will also be unable to attend.

Richard Gasquet has also withdrawn due to a back injury. Laura Robson and Mardy Fish will also miss the Miami event.
