Roger Federer Isn’t Sure How Long He’ll Keep His Beard!
After yesterday’s Andy Murray hair-cutting routine, much of the talk in the tennis world today has centered around Roger Federer’s new beard. Since showing up for the ATP Finals unshaven, Federer has won all three matches this week culminating with a three set with today over Kei Nishikori to finish the round-robin 3-0.
So with all the success, will Federer keep the beard?
“Don’t know yet,” Federer said earlier today. “If it itches too much, I’ll take it off. If my girls can’t stand it, I’ll take it off. If I look in the mirror and I don’t like it, I’ll take it off. Maybe I’ll think of Santa and keep it. It’s around the corner. I don’t know yet.”
Mirka does like it, tough. “She’s fine with it,” he said. “I mean, yeah, she’s okay, I guess. I do make decision by myself sometimes.”
Federer and perhaps his beard return to play Saturday in London where he’ll face the Andy Murray-Stan Wawrinka in the semifinals.
