Roger Federer Visits the Tennis Channel Set [Video]
After his first round win on Monday, Roger Federer made a visit to the Tennis Channel set to chat with host Bill Macatee. Federer answered the usual questions touching on topics like Novak Djokovic, streaks, his love of the game and the pressure he feels.
This morning Federer blew out Maxime Teixeira of France 63, 60, 60 in the second round. Federer, who has won six straight sets now, will play Janko Tipsarevic in the third round on Friday.
In a memorable meeting Tipsarevic nearly upset Federer in a five-set nail-biter at the Australian Open a few years ago in 2008.
“Well, we played together two or three times,” Federer said. “And then there was a major match in Australia and then in Basel last year. I don’t know if I played against him elsewhere, perhaps in Geneva. I think he’s a dangerous player on the big courts against the big players. He played really well against these players, so let’s be careful. Let’s be ready in advance, because he can vary his game on hard courts, on clay as well. He can do all sorts of things. It’s going to be an interesting match, I think.”
