American teen Ryan Harrison threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Cincinnati Red games yesterday. The 19-year-old Harrison, who is in Cincinnati this week for the Western and Southern, admitted to nerves but from the video it appears that he nailed a strike.

“I’m a little nervous,” Harrison said. “First goal is to not totally embarrass myself.”

Harrison, a semifinalist at Atlanta and LA this summer, plays his first round match Monday afternoon against Juan Ignacio Chela. If he wins he’ll bump up against top seed and World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the second round.

Harrison is currently ranked No. 78 this week on the ATP computer. He is the youngest American in the Top 100.
