Andy Roddick really has been a busy man. Last week the American tennis star was playing World Team Tennis. Then on Sunday he was in Nebraska to make an appearance at the Special Olympics.

Now in Atlanta, last night Roddick showed up at the Atlanta Braves – San Diego Padres baseball game where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Roddick tweeted: “threw first pitch out at braves game always get nervous and wimp out,but actually tried to throw it hard tonight and it went over the plate!”

I wish there was better video – this is all that’s available right now – but it’s really him. Here’s a close up photo.

Roddick plays later today at 4pm against Rajeev Ram at the Atlanta Tennis Championships. We hope his arm is ok after that pitch!

(What’s with the NBC Wimbledon theme organ music?)
