Milos Raonic Serves The First Pitch At Blue Jays Game, Then Talks Tennis In The TV Booth [Video]
Milos Raonic showed off his baseball skills last night at the Toronto Blue Jays game. With the Canadian Open now just weeks away, Raonic was at the Jays game promoting the event. The Canadian star who just made the semifinals at Wimbledon uniquely “served” the traditional first pitch before the game then made his way up to the booth for a quick tennis chat with the commentators.
“That was my first time doing the opening pitch for a baseball game so it was a great new experience for me,” said Raonic. “I was thankful the Blue Jays had me serve it instead of throw it. That was definitely more in my comfort zone, but for sure not for Buerhle, who had to catch it. We made sure he wore a catcher’s mask as I wasn’t going to take anything off of it for him… He’s a pro baseball player!”
The 7th-ranked Raonic will return next week in Washington.
