Roger Federer In NYC Tonight For MSG Showdown
After his fifth Dubai title Saturday, Roger Federer arrived into New York City early Sunday in preperation for tonight’s exhibition match against Andy Roddick at Madison Square Garden.
“Just landed in New York City from Dubai! Very excited to be in the Big Apple for the exo tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden,” Federer wrote yesterday on Facebook.
With some time on his hands, Federer visited the NikeTown store in the Big Apple, to apparently pick up some “gear”.
“In Niketown NYC trying to beat my jet lag. So far so good after a long trip. Checking out some gear…,” Federer posted.
Coming off of consecutive titles in Dubai and Rotterdam, Federer has won nine straight matches. Meanwhile Andy Roddick is going the other direction. The former No. 1 is down to a ranking of No. 31 this week.
Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki will also play in the “Blonde Undercard”. You can watch the matches on ESPN3.com.
