Benard Tomic On His Father: He’s Still Working With Me, He’s Still My Dad, I Love Him A Lot
Bernard Tomic publicy addressed the situation with his father at the French Open on Tuesday. Tomic, who retired in the third set with a hamstring injury to Victor Hanescu, gave the press a brief state about his father, John, but took no questions about him.
“He’s here right now in Paris,” Tomic said. “He’s still working with me, he’s still my dad, he’s still my coach, and, you know, I love him a lot.
“Involving the incidents that happened, I don’t want to talk about it a lot or at all, I should say. And it’s a very difficult thing for me, you know, to put my words into that.”
John Tomic has been banned from attending all events, and rumor was French officials were trying to allow him access onto the grounds via a ticket.
John got into trouble earlier this month for head-butting Bernard’s practice partner in Madrid. He is now facing a trial in Madrid and further discipline.
