Awww, Rafael Nadal Gave Flowers To Li Na During Her Retirement Ceremony [Video]

The WTA celebrated Li Na Tuesday during a special tear-filled on court ceremony in Beijing. As arguably the greatest tennis player from Asia, many of her colleagues were on hand to honor Li Na including Caroline Wozniacki, Sabine Lisicki, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic and Petra Kvitova who gave her a terrific sendoff.

And toward the end of the event (the 20 minute mark), Rafael Nadal made a surprise appearance walking out to give the 32-year-old a bouquet of flowers.

Serena Williams, who couldn’t be at the tribute because of her playing schedule, offered her thoughts afterward on the 2-time Grand Slam winner.

“She’s an amazing player,” Serena said. “She’s done so much for over a billion people. I don’t think I have impacted that many people. I just think what she’s done for our sport, the sport I play in, is really second to none.”
