Defending champion Grigor Dimitrov prepared for his Acapulco title defense by taking a tour of the city. Joined by Daniela Hantuchova, The excursion took him the famed cliffs where the adventurous Bulgarian took in the tradition of leaping from the cliffs into the water.

“A lot was going through my mind,” said the World No. 10. “The first was preparation. It was all about preparation. The first time you look down, you sort of discourage yourself, but at the same time, I was really composed. I like extreme sports in general, so today was a really good day for me!”

But the way the footage was shot – there’s no full take of Dimitrov actually jumping – there’s more than enough room for doubt that Dimitrov did in fact take the 115ft plunge.

Dimitrov opens his title defense today against Krajinovic.
