After winning Barcelona Sunday, Rafael Nadal did his tradition pool jump with the ballkids. And he didn’t even take his socks off!
Nadal has plenty of reasons to celebrate. The former No. 1 has resurrected his game and maybe his career this month winning 10 straight matches including Monte Carlo and Barcelona. He now has nine titles at EACH event.
Nadal also ties Guillermo Vilas for the Open Era lead for clay titles at 49.
Rafa now gets a well-deserved week off before Madrid begins next week.
“I have been working so hard to enjoy moments like this,” Nadal said. “The fact that I’m playing at home is always even more special. I’m very happy and I feel lucky to enjoy this again.”
Here’s video of him jumping in the pool in 2011.
