Roger Federer Says He’s Still Stick To His Fall Schedule Which Includes 5 Events
by Staff | September 7th, 2017, 1:50 am

Roger Federer missed a chance this week to return to No. 1 after losing tonight to Juan Martin del Potro in the quarterfinals at the US Open.

The Swiss, though, confirmed his upcoming schedule which he hopes to be 100% for.

“Now I have Laver Cup, Shanghai, Basel, Paris, and London,” Federer said. “That’s my schedule, and it won’t change. I hope I’m fully recovered and 100% fit when Laver Cup comes around. When that’s over, I hope I’m going to arrive really early in Shanghai to really get ready and make it a priority for me to win that tournament. So that’s the schedule there.”

And after all the matches, he’s happy to get a break.

“Good thing is that I need a rest,” Federer added. “I have a rest now, so that’s good. That’s actually the thing when I walked off the court, I was, like, Finally, I can rest. Because I’m tired. I put a lot into it. I was not sure I could play, to be honest, so I’m happy I get a rest now.”

Nice picture of Federer with tinkabell the koala, anyway as people were saying on the other thread when Delpo plays like that he can beat anybody, and fantastic to see him in the form that won the USO in 2009, sorry Fed lost and we wont get a Fedal at the USO, it seems destined not to happen now, i dont know if Delpo can beat Fed and Nadal B2B, and i really hope not lol, but what a story that would make if he did again, as for who Rafas played or rather not played, is it his fault certain players in his half lost, withdrew, got injured as Okie said blahdy blah ….

Okiegal Says:

@Willow……I think you’re the only one who pays attention to anything Okie says!! Lol πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Giles Says:

That’s strange, a couple of days ago he said he wouldn’t play Paris!!

Willow Says:

Okie i think your the only one who pays attention to me too, im not exactly popular on here lol ….

Willow Says:

Anyhow Delpo looks really good again, Rafa will have a step up in class from Rublev, hope Rafa can carry on playing well ….

Okiegal Says:

@Willow…….DelPo is playing good and I am glad to see him back in the mix. Hoping to see a good match with Rafa getting to the finals!!

Fed sounds very burned out there. Makes sense why he looked down and unfocused after the first set.

t4t Says:

Fed admitted something which his fans wouldn’t. That he had a cupcake draw. No one expected Del po to be in the QF. He was one of the sick and wounded.

skeezer Says:

“That he had a cupcake draw.”
ROFL. Where did he mention that here? You meant Rafa right?

Truth Says:

Of course, Fred said he had an unlucky fluke loss in 2009 U.S. open too.
He was always a victim of terrible injury & bad luck.
Not that he was soundly beaten by players on their B level game.

It’s not Fraud’s fault that he was very old since 2008.
He’s such a GOAT…of ignorance.
He doesn’t know any better because his floons think he demolished the best players of all time (not including Roddick) week after week, year after year.
When he was repeatedly gifted with injured opponents, he was called the invincible genius hero!
