A glimmer of hope for fans of Novak Djokovic. Following a withdrawal from desert events in Abu Dhabi and Doha, the Serb has entered the Kooyong exhibition next week and confirmed his participation at next Wednesday’s Tiebreak Tens event, both in Melbourne.

Does this mean his ailing elbow will be ready for best-of-5 in Melbourne in less than two weeks? We’ll see.

Emilia Says:

It is just a test for Novak. Let us hope….

Madmax Says:

I hope so, I hope that he gets back to his best and that this horrible nightmare for him and for Murray disappears. It is not good for tennis or for us fans.

Wog Boy Says:

Nope, it doesn’t look good, not at all. If he was out for a six months and couldn’t fix the problem he is not going to do it in 10 days, this is more fulfilling obligations towards sponsors and fans.
I am very skeptical about his future,

Daniel Says:

I also agree he may take more time with this latest news, but so happy to at least see him back on court again playing some ball.

Giles Says:

Andy withdraws from Australian Open. :((

Van Persie Says:

Looks like the WTA will be more interesting than ATP this year, if we will have further withdrawals, never believed I would say that….

Wog Boy Says:

“Novak has already got every hour of the day planned from when he arrives until the start of the Open. So he’ll be ready. The same is with Rafa Nadal, he’ll will be ready,” believes Craig Tiley.

Should we trust him? I don’t think so, he also said last year that RLA wasn’t sped up to become fastes GS court and fastest HC tournament after Shanghai, just to be proven liar. Probably the tickets presale is not going well so he needs to boost it with fake news.

Wog Boy Says:

Serena is out.

Good news for Rafa fans, he landed in Melbourne and looks relax, happy and absolutely confident he’ll be ready to play.
Not so good news for Nole fans, he landed too in Melbourne, but is nowhere near as confident as Rafa, still in doubt for AO.
