Novak Djokovic Confirms Participation In Canadian Open, Rio Olympics And Cincinnati

On his website, Novak Djokovic confirmed his summer schedule earlier this week.

The Serb will seek a fourth title at the Toronto Masters starting on Monday (the draw will be released later tonight).

He will then travel to Brazil for the Olympic games which begin on Saturday, August 6 before returning to the U.S. to bid for a first title in Cincinnati on August 15.


Djokovic was stunned on July 2 by Sam Querrey in the third round at Wimbledon. And afterward he left his future schedule uncertain.

“We’ll see. I have to think about it,” he said of his schedule. “Get away from tennis.”

Djokovic didn’t play in Serbia’s Davis Cup loss, but he will be back next week.

Djokovic’s rivals Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Roger Federer all withdrew from the Toronto event leaving the World No. 1 as the heavy favorite for the title. And with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga also pulling out, Djokovic will be the only former champion in the field.

Regarding Canadian Open (btw, Federer’s favourite tournament) draw, there are some interesting 2nd round matchups:
Berdych-Coric
Raonic-Zverev
Goffin-Querrey
Cilic-Karlovic
Kyrgios-Dimitrov

Regarding Djoker’s chances, it is pretty simple lately – if he wants to win it, nobody could touch him. However, he may want to use this as a needed practice for the Olympics and not worry about the outcome of his matches, thereby leaving the title to a first-time winner.

Roger is irelevant this year, out of seven played tournaments he made one final (250) and won zero tournaments, there is good chance that after Toronto he will drop out of top 10 in the race to London, he is just irrelevant this year and will stay irrelevant until he goes out with a whimper, I know..I know..it pains The Cult members to admit so, particulary The Cult leader.

I’ll state the obvious here!

First, it is amazing how many poor losers appear here under fake nicknames and show their hate to the best player in the planet, Novak Djokovic. Even posting some unflattering photoshopped images of Novak (although I admit they are funny) and saying that him with his brother, etc… All understandable, since Fedal fans are REALLY suffering in their misery last 5 years as Novak is destroying Fedal legacy and breaking every record there is! Seeing this, I actually enjoy it and hope for more of that to come, because I now every time fake nicknames and photoshopped Novak images appear on Tennis X, it’s a sign that Fedal misery and Novak’s greatness has reached another level – LOVE IT !!!

But the most puzzling thing today came from our frequent poster Willow! She asks a legit and super nice & polite Novak fan Danica if that was indeed her that posted that photoshopped Novak images link saying that was him and his brother George practising for Rio!?!
Two questions here, based on Willow’s actions:
1. How spectacularly stupid/dumb/slow you have to be to think someone like Danica would post that link about Novak and say that was him and his brother????!!!!!
2. Perhaps it’s not stupidity, and it was an intentional attempt of planting a link under Danica’s name (albeit with slightly modified extra “i”) and then appear to be “nice” and say that link is distasteful, etc.

In any case, I admit I also enjoyed this attempt of planting this link under poor Danica’s name, and especially Giles’ and Willow’s replies afterward like “Danica, how could you post that” and “you should be ashamed of that” , etc…

Also note that no Nole fan scorned “fake Danica” about that link ;-)

Love this! Love to expose truly sick folks here!
And especially love witnessing Djoker making history knowing what kind of “damage” it does to haters!

Happy (as the organizers certainly are!!) that Djokovic is committing to Toronto and Cincinnati on each side of his Olympic time bloc.

Marabella is perfect, it seems, for a working vacation. Work part of the day to hit the courts to get in the hardcourt groove, then beach, concerts, time with friends and family. London rags misidentified Jelena Djokovics sister Maria as her in photos and also Daniella Hantuchova – a very likable (and gorgeous) friend of both of them.

And all when Mrs D is looking exceptionally photogenic and hot at the moment!!

You are right, I was furious, but more at myself for getting sucked in and losing my temper, but on the other hand it was good to step back and see those internet cowards, once they figured out that I was under moderation, having a go at me knowing I won’t be able to reply, they suddenly became cocky same happened with TB and his “friends” here when he was under moderation.
Put it this way, I can live without TX, this is fun for me and to kill my time when I am in the office (which is in my home) or in the hotel room when I am away (which is quite often) and saves me the money that I would spend on my mistress if I am to have one, since that is very expensive hobby these days (one night stand is acceptable though;), but I would be worried for my “friends” here wellbeing if they are to be banned on TX, since internet is their only life and pleasure though virtual one.

Interesting matches ahead. Djoko may play Isner Quarters and Raonic semis. Considering he hasn’t a lot of match latelly those are the kind of matches that best f three is dangerous. Inner likes playing in NA HC and Raonic not playing OG may be more driven, backing up his Wimby rup.

IF Djoko passes these two tests can’t see him losing in finals, to anybody else from that section. Only the other Big 4 can beat him in finals, and that is a big if.
