Humble Rafa Says:

Think of all the oxygen chambers you could buy with that money. WOW.

Nolefam Says:

Maybe lend a couple of chambers to Rafa. Lol

bstevens Says:

You could make an argument that Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic are 3 of the top 5 tennis players of all-time. What a time to be a tennis fan!

chris ford1 Says:

bstevens –
Even before he tied Sampras, Djokovic belonged in the rarified atmosphere where Borg, Laver, Sampras, Federer, and Nadal are positioned.
It is a great time to be a tennis fan – if you follow the men’s game. Great stars, but also intense competition and past Andy and Stan and a healthy JMD and Roddick in his day – 2 dozen others that can take a match from the Big 4 if they zone ike Stan can.
If you are a woman’s tennis fan – not so much. Competition stinks and the Williams sisters “power game” and one-sided domination w/o adequate competition has been bad for the sport, ratings.

chris ford1 Says:

I wish they would ditch that “most money made, ever” stat unless it is adjusted for the growth in money prizes over the Open Era.

Truth Says:

Players who finished most seasons with the most atp points in grand slams:

Djokovic 7 (2011-16, 2018)
Sampras 7 (1993-98, 2000)

Federer 5 (2004-07, 2009)
Borg 5 (1976, 1978-81)
Lendl 5 (1983, 1985-87, 1990)

Nadal 3 (2008, 2010, 2017)
Connors 3 (1974-75, 1982)

Despite injury and surgeries, Djoker atill had quality Slams.
It’s not his fault that Millman and Del Po were far superior than Fedal in the extreme humidity.
SAMPRAS and Connors get special mention because Connors had bad knees and Sampras had low red blood cell count.
