After four years away, Roger Federer returned to Roland Garros yesterday, hitting on the newly-renovated Philippe Chatrier Court for the first time.

Federer’s last match at the French was a 2015 quarterfinal loss to Stan Warwinka.

And of course 2019 marks the 10-year anniversary of the Swiss winning his lone French Open title in 2009 when he completed his Career Slam.

Federer was also back on court today:

The French Open draw is released Thursday night in Paris.

Quick recovery. Amazing what a few “ magic pills” can do. Lol

But but he’s injured, no?

Wog Boy Says:

With a crooked leg it’ll be hard to get them, no?

Col Says:

No faster turn around than Nadal practising on clay six days after withdrawing from Miami, and on a different surface and continent no less. But You guys are not known for your consistency.

jatin Says:

Amazing to see him back hitting again.
Hope the Draw would be easier this time.
Its like Aus Open 2017 all over again in terms of expectations. And I like it this way.

skeezer Says:

@jatin
re; expectations – same here :)
It’s also fun to see the posts about how jealous some are about old man Fed. Just goes to show the fear he still puts in the competition :)

Giles Says:

We have some 🤡 here. Lol

skeexer Says:

Giles,
You spend the last few days wanting to trash Fed on injuries, whereas your Love has an obsessive history of them. And btw, who has beaten Rafa the last 5 times they met, and the Last time they met? Rafa withdrew ( injury ). Thats 6. Who’s the 🤡?
