Thiem, Khachanov, Berrettini Headline Vienna
All eyes in Vienna will be a blockbuster opening match between top seed and home favorite Dominic Thiem and former champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
After a solid 7-1 Asian swing, Thiem hopes to open his indoor season on a high note against the Frenchman. But the Austrian has never reached the semifinals at the biggest event in his country.
Joining Thiem among the seeds are No. 2 Karen Khachanov, No. 3 Matteo Berrettini and No. 4 Gael Monfils.
Among the other first round matches, Pablo Carreno Busta battles Stockholm winner Denis Shapovalov, Berrettini takes on Kyle Edmund, Milos Raonic meets Hyeon Chung, Khachanov collides with Hubert Hurkacz and Felix Auger-Aliassime faces Moscow champ Andrey Rublev.
Dimitrov and Raonic are both unseeded.
Last year, Kevin Anderson took down Kei Nishikori in the final.
